1. Why TRAILS?

Answer

TRAILS contributes to the understanding of the determinants of adolescents' knowledge about mental (ill-)health and social development during adolescence and young adulthood, as well as the mechanisms underlying the associations between determinants and these outcomes. This knowledge is necessary for developing effective interventions and prevention.

Answer

Mental health problems in adulthood develop through adolescence. Mental health problems also increase during adolescence. Adolescence is a vulnerable period and plays an important role in the development of mental health problems.
